COACHING OPTIONS

This workshop package provides everything our students need to start writing the Common App essay, including an understanding of the role of the personal essay in the application process, insight into how admissions officers evaluate essays, and guidance in choosing the best essay prompt for your application. Our workshops lead to compelling, original material, a shape for your story, and a plan for how that story can reveal your unique qualities.

The Jumpstart Workshop includes: 2-hour small-group session, plus 1.5 hours of one-to-one coaching.

Jumpstart Workshop package: $490

(Discounted rate of $140/hour is extended for any additional hours of coaching.)

Whether you are looking for help in brainstorming, a session or two of drafting guidance, more sustained coaching through several drafts, or just some help with final editing, we provide customized support for all stages of the writing process.

We offer the same tools as in our workshops, nurturing individual style and the writer’s authentic voice. Come to us without a single idea or show up with a drafted essay, we’ll help you craft a final version that will make you stand out.

Weekday and weekend hours; in person or Zoom.

One-to-one coaching: $150/hour

Jumpstart + 3 Hours Coaching package: $900 (includes 2-hour group session + 4.5 hours of coaching)
